As we get closer to the World Cup, the moniker “the beautiful game” becomes more and more apropos. This month’s vanity fair features some of soccer’s hottest stars… in their underwear. Annie Leibowitz took the shots and each hunk sports boxer briefs touting his nation’s colors. I happen to be a huge soccer fan and grew up playing it, but ladies even if you don’t appreciate the sport itself — you should appreciate the eye candy. Soccer players are by far the best looking athletes (maybe even human beings) on the planet. They’re super fit, somehow have gorgeous faces and exude attitude. VF has mini profiles of Christiano Ronaldo, Landon Donovan, Kaka and Michael Ballack, among others. Definitely a must-read and a good primer for the World Cup.
