As we finally get out of this long, winter thaw and head into the Spring, I know a lot of us are thinking about reinventing the home and even considering moves. One of my New Years Resolutions was to entertain in our new apartment more. This meant a serious upgrade to our furniture, China etc. we’ve decided to focus on sleek, clean cuts offset by some standout pieces. One of our go-tos was Michael Wainwright.
For those unfamiliar with the designer, Michael Wainwright is a master at combining porcelain with precious metals. Many of his signature pieces feature gold and platinum. The designs are eye-catching to say the least and are total statement pieces. Here are some of our favorites that can help update your entertaining style at home.
The piece we adore the most is this LaRochelle Gold Platter. I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful this plate is in person. It’s 14 inches, and great as a serving plate. The bone china is finished with 24-carat gold. It sells for $235, link above.
This Tempio Luna cheese plate has a gorgeous design throughout made from platinum. I think we could all agree that this trumps a standard wooden cheese board.
