As Spring approaches we’re excited to break out the open-toes, flip flops and sandals. But this season, there are also some more…. interesting Spring shoe varieties out there that are not only sold out, but have waitlists for daring fashionistas to brave. Let’s just say, these new looks aren’t the most practical. But, as a good friend reminded me, “Practical is for the birds.” What’s your take? Will you be clamoring for the following?
This Jeffrey Campbell “Skate” is one of the season’s most sought-after shoes. It retails for $198, but good luck getting your hands on it. It comes in black, white and beige.
Another Jeffrey Campbell creation, the Lita shoe is a suede high, chunky heel. This season’s it color is pink, shown.
Vivienne Westwood’s “Pirate Patchwork Brogues” have been getting a lot of attention. These mismatched patent leather shoes have a coral trim on a beige and blue shoe. Very daring.. and expensive at $420. The last (and only time) I wore mismatched shoes was in college when I woke up completely hungover, grabbed two different shoes that I had in different colors and met a friend for a day out, only to be met with a LOT of laughter. Would you ever rock the mismatched shoe look?
