Unlike celebrities, we don’t have the luxury of a new outfit every single day. Instead, we re-wear our favorite jeans or go-to dressses. It’s just not affordable to have a new outfit for everything.
That’s why we find it refreshing when we see celebrities, and royals, with unlimited spending accounts rewearing outfits very publicly. Kate Middleton has become really well known for this.
Duchess Kate Middleton was spotted re-wearing a dress at the most recent event, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, which is arguably one of the biggest events of this year! Kate always has great fashion sense, so we couldn’t wait to see what she wore. She chose a pale cream Alexander McQueen dress, and looked perfect in it. However this was the third time wearing the dress, once at princess Charlotte’s Christening then at Queen Elizabeth’s birthday party.
Kate Middleton’s choice in recycling her clothes makes us feel like she’s just as human as us. A red Alexander McQueen dress also made a three-part showcase. Kate was first seen wearing this in 2012 on a boat ride, then again in 2014 at a reception for the dramatic arts, and in 2015 for a Christmas party at the Anne Freud Centre Family School.
Kate also likes to re-wear coats. In 2011 she wore a dark red coat from L.K.Bennet at a UNICEF center, in 2012 she wore the coat to a rugby match, in 2013 she wore the red coat at a meeting with The Royal British Legion’s London Poppy Day Appeal, and lastly in 2016 Kate wore the red coat at a reception for the RAF Search and Rescue Force. She will continue to wear her outfits more than once and pull it off like a brand new outfit.
