Recessionistas At the Beach: One-Piece Swimsuits

As promised, this week we’re going to take a look at one-piece swimsuits (and some monokinis too). So let’s get right to it, shall we?
This one-piece from Delia’s has a really flattering shape, and the cinched bandeau-style top gives it a little something extra to set it apart. And I love the adorable polka dots! Macy’s has a similar style that comes in turquoise, pink, and black – all great bathing suit staple colors – as well as a really cute suit with a ruffled skirt.
For this price you can even get a big-name designer bathing suit – just check Target. Zac Posen for Target features two suits – an 80’s-inspired suit for just $35 (I haven’t tried it on, but I can just imagine that those high-cut sides make your legs look miles long) and a gold suit that’s right on with the metallic trend . This suit, also from Target, is a great option for those who prefer strapless styles and would be flattering on every body type.
Monokinis are also catching on, and we have some of those for you too. This black suit, also from Target, creates some really nice curves around the waistline. They also have a great monokini in red – I like the funky crisscross fabric in the front – and another in black. Make sure to load up on the SPF if you’re out in one of these suits though, because I would not want to have to deal with some of these tan lines!
PS – It’s a complete and total budget-buster, and definitely does NOT fit within our $50 limit here, but for those of you who are concerned about holding your middles in on the beach (really, who’s not?), check out this suit. It’s made by Spanx and has their special shaping technology to show off your figure at its best!
