Well ladies, it seems we’ve reached a place where my job gets a lot easier, and that place is our feet. Yes, I’m talking about flip flops. While it can sometimes be hard to find bathing suits at a good price (let me tell you, finding one piece suits under $50 was more challenging than I expected), there is a plethora of flip flop choices, some as low as 99 cents. 99 cents! (Just so you know, that option is from Old Navy. Check out their selection here. Sure, the 99 cent choices are the more random colors, but seriously – if you paid under a dollar, who cares if you wear them once?)
The first group in this category is the basic, rubber flip flops. Good options, in addition to Old Navy, can be found all over. One of my personal favorite brands is Havianas, which are available from piperlime.com. I love the ones with the slim straps, and I have to admit the peacock pattern is pretty cute! Havianas has also gotten in the spirit of the World Cup – remember these? You can support your team even on your feet. There are some more intricate options are out there as well, like these adorable flowered shoes from J.Crew. But if flowers aren’t your thing, then maybe bling is right up your alley – like these, also from J.Crew. The best part is, at prices like these you can have several different options to choose from.
Not all flip flops have to be rubber though. Luckily for us, there are tons of stylish options that can go beyond the beach as well. Let’s see. These look so comfy – you can see the padding from the picture! I love the leopard spots and gladiator styling of these Steve Madden shoes. And for simple leather flip flops, you can’t beat J.Crew. They have metallic and studded in addition to classic leather. But most unbelievably, jellies are back! I begged my mom for some of these when I was little, and now it seems I can even indulge my adult self in the delightfully squishy shoes. Happy shopping!
And remember ladies, if you have any incredible beach buys you want to share with us, email us at styleblogger@gmail.com, and we might even feature your suggestions in an upcoming post!
