I’ve just started using Julie Hewett Cosmetics and I’m pleasantly surprised. What originally got me interested in the line is that Julie works on the set of dozens of movies and is responsible for making some of our favorite celebrities look outright flawless. The full collection is wonderful, but I have to say I’m pretty much addicted to her palettes. The one pictured (which I also use) is called the “Mandy” and it was created for Mandy Moore on the set of the movie “Because I Said So.” As you can imagine, it is also one of Mandy Moore’s fav cosmetic products. The palette includes 2 cheekies in peachie and natural, a shimmy (m absolute fave, it’s like a highlighter for eyes, cheeks etc.) in goldie, and a lip lush in mimi. Julie also came out with a new palette that I’m absolutely dying to try called Boheme, that has the most gorgeous colors. Each palette retails at $40.
I’ve also found her lipsticks and lip liners to be extremely long-wearing. I guess that’s so they stay put during all those Holywood makeout scenes ;). And you know I’m a sucker for packaging, the lipsticks come in these awesome gold cases. Julie Hewett cosmetics are currently being used on the sets of Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and the Starter Wife, so keep an eye out for looks you like. I’d love to see her create a palette to go along with each of the women on DH!
