Philadelphia’s Secret Shopping District

So this weekend I visited Philadelphia and had time to kill as my boyfriend was in class each day til five. And to me there’s no better way to kill time than shopping. I was completely surprised by the boutiques I found in Philly, especially in Olde City, an older part opf town with quaint, cobblestoned roads and cutre boutiques and restaurants. It sort of reminded me of New York’s Soho.

The first store I went into was Lost + Found, a cute boutique with a great selection of hand-crafted jewelry, shoes, purses and new and vintage clothing alike. I bought a black and white vintage wrap dress there and another black and white dress with a rose pattern on it. I also bought Feather earrings (shown)

Then Smak Parlour caught my eye. This boutique has a gilded pink and gold exterior that screams barroque. The inside is ever better with barroque mirrors and furniture decorating the boutique. They carry clothes, home items, books and jewelry. I left there with this adorable bow bracelet, shown. Unfortunately, they only have one location, but have a webstore, here.

Lastly, I stumbled upon Three Sirens Boutique, a charming little boutique with an amazing assortment of clutches (I had to choose between three that I LOVED and settled on a brown one with a gold chain link), dresses, shoes and jewelry.

So, who knew Philly had a secret shopping personality? I left the city this morning unable to zip my suitcase as a result, but overall I’d say well worth it.
