Let’s be real – vacations are just another excuse to shop and wear cute outfits. As the boyfriend and I plan for a trip to Napa Valley to go wine tasting at the end of the month, I’ve already begun assembling cute outfits.
I’ve tried to strike a balance between rustic and chic for the daytime wine tastings while packing cute dresses and heels for the night. (Oh, while trying to fit everything into a medium-sized suitcase rather than overpacking for once in my life)
Here are my pieces that I’ll be working from: For the tastings, I have two pairs of J. Brand jeans, which are pretty much the only jeans I wear. The first pair is J. Brand 620 eyelet jeans, pictured above. I love my pair in black and it has become a staple in my wardrobe. The second is a pair of 811 skinnies in a natural wash. I also am packing these Club Monaco leather paneled pants (Bonus — they are on sale right now for $69.)
For tops, I’m packing a few plaid Rails shirts and some sweaters and cardigans. I love the versatility of these Rails flannel shirts which are on trend but also have a good fit. I’ve been wearing them on their own and also under a fur vest.
As for footwear, I’ll be packing my trusty black Louboutins, tan Jimmy Choos and Thigh-high tan boots.
Lastly, but not least, I will be bringing along my Ray Ban mirrored sunnies and my new favorite: a Brixton black Wesley hat.
Stay tuned next week for our travel guide to all things Napa.
