This Fashion Week, Tory Burch showed a ladylike collection that she termed “elegant sportif.” She chose a color scheme of white mixed with predominately warm colors towards the beginning of the show – red, orange, yellow. Navy and gray also make significant appearances in the second portion of the collection. The overall feel of the pieces is crisp, clean, and elegant, with a bit of a 70s vibe throughout. The collection has a nice mix of pants (cropped and long, including one pair of loose, silky, silver sequined pants – perhaps the most glam pajama pants in history) and skirts (all longer and ladylike: everything hit in the knee to mid-calf region). There were also several dresses and jackets. This collection has an elegant, cohesive feel to it, and every piece also feels like Tory Burch – her aesthetic shines through.
Front row celebrities included Kanye West, Kelly Killoren Bensimon (of the Real Housewives of New York), Stephanie Pratt and Aerin Lauder (granddaughter of Estee).
