Yesterday instead of listening to my teacher, I secretly sat on my laptop watching the Betsey Johnson show with my two girlfriends sitting on either side of me. I will say that while I should have been listening to the lecture, I couldn’t help myself but have my eyes glued to my screen as the models strutted down the runway in Betsey’s unique and gorgeous designs. The models had this airbrushed baroque style piece on the back of their short haircuts, and all I kept saying is I want that for my hair! After the first set of models finished strutting down the catwalk, the real fun began. It was men and women dressed EXACTLY like Betsey herself. The theme was “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.” Lots of Edwardian punk styles with bright colors and loud prints were seen. Here are some of the top looks from the show.
LOVE the printed tights and red lips!
This red seems to be the hot color among all designers at NYFW!
This sort of reminds me of Cruella De Ville!
Of course Betsey ended the show with her signature cartwheel and dance moves!
