Luca Luca was one of the first designers to show at this year’s NYFW and it was nothing short of amazing. Head designer, Raul Melgoza, brought his home state of California and his childhood memories of trips to Yosemite into this collection. How ironic, I have many fond memories of trips to Yosemite, I knew I liked him! His collection is based on a woman in the woods, but still fashionable so we saw a lot of wood heels and of course leather jackets. A pencil skirt was treated like tree bark and the fine strands of black beading on the bodice of a gorgeous gown resembled a strand of seeds or the veins that run through leaves. Overall, the collection was gorgeous and is perfect for the fall season. Here are some of the most memorable looks from the show!
A little over the top in my opinion, but it gets the idea of the woodsy woman across. I love the skinny belts though!
