I love fashion you can feel good about. I fell in love with Nepali scarves by TDM before I even knew the backstory, but now that I know it I’m even more obsessed. These vibrant colored silk, cashmere and bamboo scarves are a staple in my wardrobe and also a celebrity favorite, sported by Jessica Alba and others. But what really gets to me is their backstory. While on visits to Nepal, Michelle Baldwin and Michelle Taylor-Spearman of TDM witnessed the Nepalese women hard at work creating beautiful scarves in substandard working conditions. They now employ these women, giving them competitive pay to help break the cycle of poverty many are born into. They also give them access to healthcare and education.
