Matching Your Mask To Your Outfit Is The Newest Fashion Trend

By Lily Raine

Many places of business are now back open with strict guidelines to wear a mask. As places open and we begin to wear masks out, we do not want them to completely ruin our cute outfits! Nancy Pelosi and other public figures have recently stepped out in masks that match their outfits and we are getting inspiration for how we will wear our masks when returning to our daily routine. Some designers have even began creating masks from deadstock fabric to match their already existing designs.

Nancy Pelosi is the queen of color coordinating her mask with her outfit.

Pelosi, the speaker of the house of representatives, prefers the extremely fashionable scarf style masks and brightly colored masks to match her equally bright dresses and pant suits. Here, she is seen wearing a pink face mask, like this $10 one from Amazon.

Some shops have even been selling masks and blouses that match. Cindy Crawford is seen here wearing a matching mask and blouse from Le Superbe. Could this be the new monochrome outfit?

Many stores are making it easier than ever to match your mask with your outfit like a celebrity. Just like a typical coordinating set, stores are now selling matching sets with masks. Here’s a round up of some of our favorite matching sets.

This matching face mask and crop top from Cotton Citizen is super chic.

Tie-dye is one of the hottest trends in loungewear right now, so it is fitting for a store to have a tie-dye tee and mask set. Cotton Citizen is currently selling their Tokyo crop top ($90) in the same pattern as their face masks ($28). You will look so cute making your grocery runs in this set!

Helmstedt is making coordinated mask and dress sets in great patterns.

Helmstedt is currently making masks that match their extra width dresses, such as this dress in the print “rendezvous” ($838). This print features green gingham and hand-painted watercolor grapes. The matching mask ($37) is made from deadstock fabric and wraps behind the ears with an elastic band. This dress is a great look for weddings, parties, or just a day out as we slowly start to return to normal.

L.A. Designer, Kevin Hall, is creating snakeskin print tunics that include a matching mask ($385). Kevin is a 5-Star Etsy seller. His tunic set is so cute for running errands, work, or even a lazy day at home.

One of my new favorite female-owned small businesses, Dazey LA, is creating matching masks from the deadstock fabric of their famous tees and tanks. Plus, for each mask bought, they donate one to women facing homelessness. This mask ($25) matches their famous nudes print tank ($58). Perfect for a trip to the gym or to the grocery store!
