Yup, the second incarnation of Fashion’s Night Out is right around the corner. Timed to coincide with New York Fashion Week (which begins September 9th), on Friday September 10th participating retailers (both in NYC and around the country) will stay open until 11pm, with a variety of in-store events, such as appearances by designers and celebrities. (My personal favorite? Piperlime is opening a pop-up shop – we all know I’m obsessed – and on Friday night Rachel Zoe AND the cast of Project Runway will be there to give styling advice.) Macy’s locations across New York’s buroughs and New Jersey are holding events. Three days prior to the actual event, on September 7th, the largest public fashion show ever will take place at Lincoln Center with more than 150 models (can you imagine the chaos backstage?)
For those who will be be in New York for the big event, check out Fashion’s Night Out’s official website to plan your evening. But good news for non-New Yorkers – there are events taking place all over the country (and the world). You can visit FNO’s website here to find out what events are happening and which stores are participating in your area.
And finally, if you’re not able to get in on the action on Friday then make sure to tune in to CBS on September 14that 10pm, when they’ll be broadcasting an hour-long special hosted by Neil Patrick Harris that will cover all of the major happenings from Fashion’s Night Out.
