Maintaining That Summer Glow: Benefit High Beam

We’re unfortunately nearing the last weeks of summer, and near the top of the list of my concerns is holding onto my tan for as long as I can.

Sure, I could choose to resort to self tanners and spray tans, but there’s just something about that summer glow.

This last week, I’ve been testing out Benefit’s High Beam Highlighter. I have to admit, at first I was a bit taken aback by the presentation – High Beam is liquid form and comes in a nail polish type of bottle and you apply it with a wand similar to a what you would apply nail polish with.

But, concerns aside, I have to say that High Beam does the trick. I apply a small streak to the top of each cheek bone over my foundation and bronzer and then gently rub it in in a circular fashion with my fingertips. I’ve also used a tiny bit on my brown bone at night, which gives a nice glow. The trick is to use just a smidge so that it looks like a glow, not makeup.

High Beam is $26 at Sephora.
