Lust-worthy Espadrilles: Castaner

We’re going to go ahead and call Castaner the shoe of the season. The Spanish company traces its heritage back to the 1700s when the family’s first espadrille maker was born. The rest has been a long and successful history in making some of the world’s most sought after shoes.

Castanet came onto our radar last year because of the craftsmanship. when we buy watches, we buy Swiss. When we buy leather, we buy Italian. So, it only seemed natural to turn to Spain on a months-long search for the perfect espadrille.

My favorite pair is their Canton style, which blends old world espadrille with a modern twist in metallic leather. I love the silhouette of the shoe, and the straps make them really comfy and dare I say sturdy for an espadrille. I haven’t stopped getting compliments on them since I got mine.
JEANETTE2
I also love their Jeanette style, which is also metallic and has a Grecian feel to it because of its crossed straps and ankle cuff. They are $105 on the link above.

If you’re after a more classic wedge look, we love these ones for $105.
