Lily Allen’s New Clothing Line: Lucy In Disguise

By Michelle Aubert

The 25-year-old pop star announced she would be taking a break from the music industry last year and venturing into the realm of fashion with her sister Sarah Owen, creating a line entitled “Lucy In Disguise.”  The duo launched a pop-up boutique in Selfridges’ Wonder Room in London.

If you want to add a little vintage touch to your wardrobe Lily Allen’s clothing line is probably the right pick for you, as it features a set of vintage-inspired clothes.  While the pop up boutique is currently up and running at Selfridges, Lily and sis will officially launch Lucy in Disguise in June 2011.  Designer Kim Jones’ sister Nadia Jones will work on the collection with Lily, merging details from the vintage aspects of the pieces in the store with their own designs.  Each item will be named after people and places, with designs including the Fortnums and the Capone.

The collection will initially be stocked at Harvey Nichols in the UK, and thereafter at 70 stores internationally. It will also be sold at the stand alone Lucy in Disguise London store. The pieces are set to range from £95 to £350.  Lily – who has previously designed a collection for UK high street store New Look – recently offered fans the chance to spend a “boozy evening” at her store and take home a free handbag as part of charity Twit Relief.

The collection isn’t sold online (sorry US style mavens, there aren’t any stores in America that carry Lily’s collection yet) but if you go to London and want to find a store have a look at www.newlook.com, or go to the line’s website where you can find locations and more information about the clothes and the designers:  http://lucyindisguiselondon.com.
