The thing I truly dread most about entering the fall is losing my tan and becoming a pasty version of myself. Tans look better and they also make you look thinner, which is the best type of added bonus. I’ve had mixed success with self tanners, but found Skinny Tan, which I tried out this weekend I’ll be relying on as fall approaches.
This 7-day tanner is a two-step process. First, you bring the pre-tan primer into the shower with you and apply it to the parts of your body that you want to tan. It’s an exfoliator, so it removes dead skin cells so that the tanner will absorb more evenly and deeply. After the shower, towel off and happy a quarter’s size drop to each part of your body and apply in a circular pattern.
I am so pleased with the results. There are no streaks and the tan matches my natural tanned skin color, which is rare for me. Skinny tan prides itself on contouring and diminishing the appearance of cellulite, and I definitely found it did just that on my thighs.
