Kate Middleton has mastered wearing main street brands as a royal. She has frequently been seen wearing styles from Zara, J. Crew, and many other mall brands that have approachable price points. We also admire her ability to mix couture and main street so seamlessly. Here is Kate’s top 10 style statements while wearing main street brands.
Kate Middleton is seen here rocking this leopard print midi skirt from Zara, a very trendy piece currently. It was the perfect piece to wear on her trip to a children’s center in Wales. What can we say? Even the duchess can’t skip out on this hot trend.
J. Crew is known for making fast fashion look classic and expensive, which is why we are gutted that the chain has recently filed for bankruptcy (Screw you, Coronavirus). Kate Middleton proves this while wearing J. Crew’s navy sailor pants back in 2017. She is known for this classy and preppy style that J. Crew does so well.
When going out to a theater, Middleton wanted to make a statement with these glitter Jimmy Choo Pumps. The shoes stole the show and outshined the rest of her outfit, although they were from a main street label.
At a recent Sports Aid event Kate was seen in a full outfit of loungewear, all from main street labels. She wore a pair of $50 Mark and Spencer’s white trainers, a hunter green pair of culottes from Zara, and a round neck ribbed sweater from Mango.
Back in 2016, Kate made a statement while wearing all fast fashion on a royal tour of Canada. Kate wore plaid block heels from J. Crew. She also wore a white blazer and black slacks from Zara. Kate is more like us than we thought!
In December 2016, Kate wore an all main street brands look to a Cub Scouts event. The duchesses outfit was a monochromatic look, with a beige sweater from Iris and Ink, brown skinny jeans from Zara, and brown boots from Really Wild Clothing.
When visiting an Athletic club in early March 2020, Kate chose a casual preppy outfit. Her beautiful coral sweater was from Really Wild Clothing, her sneakers were from New Balance, and her pants were only $50 from Zara. This is exactly the post-quarantine outfit inspiration we were needing!
When visiting the Eden Project, Kate paired a navy-blue blazer with a pair of 30 ikat print pants from Gap. The pants are in the bi-stretch skinny ankle fit.
Kate wore this Topshop dress back in 2013 to visit children in counseling. At the time, the black dress with a white-collar detail retailed for only $50. This is my personal favorite main street fashion look of Kates. (Similar here)
Kate wore this black and white polka dot wrap dress to a children’s charity back in 2016. The dress was from ASOS and was on sale for only $39 at the time the duchess bought it. We love that the duchess loves sales! (Similar dress here)
