Last weekend we celebrated a big number — the 10th anniversary of BellaVitaStyle. Time sure has flown by and we were really excited to celebrate with some of our favorite people and supporters. The pressure for party planning is high when you run a lifestyle and luxury blog, so I researched everything to death and made sure to create the perfect experience for my guests that was also on-brand with the blog.
I wanted to share some of the items I chose for the party, as most vendors I paired up with are available nation-wide and could also be used next time you throw a party — be it a birthday party, corporate party or holiday celebration. We’ll start with our custom cookies from Cookies, Crumbs & Crust.
I first came across Cookies, Crumbs & Crusts’s beautiful vanilla bean cookies on the Neiman Marcus website and I was blown away by how beautiful their cookies were. I reached out to its owner, Jill, and explained the premise of the party to her and she immediately started brainstorming on cookies for me to fit the theme. I loved her enthusiasm and we came up with a number of different cookies for the party: Champagne bottles, martini glasses and a variety of fall flowers since it was the start of autumn.
Jill delivered the cookies to us and I couldn’t get over how beautiful and vibrant the cookies were when I opened the boxes! The frosting was smooth and bright and each cookie looked like a little piece of art. They were prettier than I had even imagined and I had high hopes. Even better — they tasted delicious and were nice and moist.
I set them up on a few beautiful silver platters on our main dessert table area and they were totally the focal point of the table with everyone at the party commenting at how gorgeous and delicious they were. In addition to the vanilla bean cookies, CC&C makes other flavors and treats, such as toasted walnut shortbread, snickerdoodle cookies, and chocolate truffles. Am looking forward to ordering more cookies from Cookies, Crumbs and Crusts for other special events and holidays.
You can’t have a party without cake, and I take cake pretty seriously. I didn’t want something cliched, and I didn’t want a cake that looked pretty but underwhelmed on flavor. So, I turned to We Take The Cake, which delivers throughout the U.S.
What drew me to We Take The Cake was the bakery’s beautiful layer cakes that have unique fillings. We opted for the Strawberry layer cake that had a cream cheese frosting and shredding of white chocolate covering the outside of the cake. The cakes arrived in dry ice and the cutest pink and green boxes that excite you to open.
What’s inside the box is just majestic. The cakes look like something you’d expect at tea with Alice in Wonderland. We put the cakes on ceramic white cake stands and once we cut into them to serve to guests, the bright pink cake was super moist and delicious. There are pieces of fresh strawberries inside, and each layer has cream cheese frosting in between. Guests actually came up for seconds of the cake, which is rare in the New York fashion scene!
I would gladly turn to all three baker’s for my next party and you should, too. From the lovely presentation of their goods to the seamless shipping of them to the taste, we were overwhelmed by how amazing each baker was on every level, and so were our guests!
