Thank you, Gossip Girl, for resolving most of the major issues before going on break for the holidays! I feel relieved now that I know who Juliet is and why she’s been targeting Serena. I can also rest knowing that with this episode pretty much every character went into the break looking fabulous. Blair looked amazing (as usual) – the plaid dress she wore at the very end was a major improvement over the one she wore last episode. This one I would actually wear! Plus, the black and white color palate she had going on for most of the episode was really working for me (and I loved her lace tights. I need some of those asap!) Serena also started out the episode strongly. The sweater and boots combo was really cute, and while her pants (leggings?) were exceedingly tight, hey, it’s Serena. We’d all be pretty upset if she looked totally appropriate, right? Although I was a little startled by the amount of metal she had on in the closing scenes. I liked the metallic mini, but the shirt half covered by a gigantic metal collar/necklace/thing was a little bit of overkill. And before we go into our Gossip Girl holiday break here on BellaVitaStyle (the next episode airs January 24th, so stay tuned for more style recaps on the 25th) I will leave you with my final thought on this episode: I totally love the dynamic Dan and Blair have going on right now, and I really, really, hope the writers aren’t trying to set up a romance between them because a) that would be weird and b) what they going on now is hilarious!
