Gift Guide: The Fitness Guru

The next gift guide is geared toward the people like myself who prefer barre class over the bar and actually enjoy working out on vacation. Yep, the fitness guru. Here are some of our favorite gifts, kits and sets:

Pure Barre Flex Series: We’re big fans of Pure Barre classes, and this DVD set means you can get an intense workout in anywhere, be it home or on the road. This DVD has six separate 10-minute workouts focusing on different parts of the body. It’s ideal if you only have a limited amount of time and want to do some toning, or if you want to do several at once. (I did all six this weekend after Thanksgiving and it was as intense as a full barre class) I especially love the segments geared toward thighs and seat work, but all of the segments are challenging and worthwhile This kit is on sale for $18.71.

Fab Fit Fun: We’ve chronicled our love for this subscription service before here and the winter kit makes the perfect gift. The service is flexible, meaning you can buy one box for $49.99 or sign up for a year of boxes for $179.99. The Winter box is great because it includes a mix of beauty products and fitness products.

We’ve heard our workout class friends rave about Ugi, and we decided to try it out for ourselves. This weighted ball is a full-body workout in a compact and efficient manner. We have the At Home kit, for $169, which includes the ball and a book of workouts. What we love is that you use your own body weight and the ball, which helps with lengthening and toning. The book is a great guide with 150 exercises, and is divided by body parts, meaning you can tone everything from the core to thighs and arms. Tonight, we tried out some ab and arm moves, and totally felt the burn. It’s small enough to do in your living room, meaning that you (or whomever you gift) will have no excuse not to work out!The kit also comes with a DVD and app to help keep your time.

La Vie Boheme Yoga mat: Yoga mats have become as much of a fashion statement as the clothes you wear to your class. We love this La Vie Boheme mat with a chic Chevron print, $83.

On the topic of fitness fashion, I live in my K-Deer yoga pants. We love the prints and bright colors, and are always picking up compliments in our fitness classes. These leopard print Duchess leggings are $98.
