Fashion Update: Paris and London

By Francesca Claybrook

I was lucky enough to take a trip to Paris and London last week, and now that I’m back I wanted to update everyone on the fashion trends I saw there.  Keep reading to see the ladies are wearing across the pond these days.

Parisian women are still rocking the classic blazer (which really fits Parisian style I think – they seem to choose classics over trends any day), and the most common variation was a navy blazer with the sleeves rolled up a little bit to accommodate the warmer weather.  This ASOS blazer is perfect; I saw a lot of oversized boyfriend blazers on the streets and in the metro.

Bright colors are big this year, and while I did see trousers in many different colors, reds were by far the most popular choice.  There were all shades, from orangey reds to true reds, and all fabrics, including denim.   I really like this pair from Zara. The ankle length and cotton fabric make them more appropriate (and comfortable) for summer.

English girls are all about the pleated trousers these days, usually accompanied with a cuff at the bottom.  I think these from Zara would be a great option – they have a relaxed fit, the belt is included, and you have two color options!
