Leopard print is huge this fall – we’ve seen it on Gossip Girl, at fashion shows, and now we’re going to be seeing it on you and me! Let’s take a look at some of the leopard-spotted options available to you, which really do come in all shapes and sizes.
For those of you who are seriously into the leopard-print trend (which, let’s face it, does come up every few years, so an investment in something spotted is not a complete waste of money), a larger piece like a coat is a good choice. This coat hits two trends at once: leopard spots and faux fur, while this one is more lightweight with a classic shape. If you like the faux-fur and leopard spots but you don’t want to go the full coat route, how about trying a vest instead? Leopard-print dresses can also be incredibly chic – just take a look at this Diane von Furstenberg piece (love the non-traditional colors!) or this beautiful Nanette Lepore one-shoulder dress.
Leopard-print shoes have always been big, and right now there is a plethora of options available. Ballet flats, like these from Ciao Bella are comfy and cute, and Tory Burch also makes a pair of her iconic flats in leopard print. But you can really turn up the heat with a leopard-spotted pump, like this one from Cole Haan. I think I have to have those.
Finally, if you’re unsure about going with full-on leopard, accessories are a great way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe without going overboard. One of the best options is a scarf – and the great thing about scarves is that they come in every color under the sun, like this one , from Yarnz, which comes in plum or gray, or Jimmy Choo’s “Sonnet” scarf, which comes in purple, white, and cognac. MICHAEL Michael Kors also makes a leopard print belt, and Citrine by the Stones makes a pair of leopard print earrings. Handbags also come in leopard this season (seriously, leopard print is everywhere!) This bag comes in both gold and pewter leopard print, while this calf hair hobo is a simple black and white print.
And even after all these options, if you’re still somehow unsure about adding some leopard print to your wardrobe this fall, you can still get in on the trend without actually wearing it – just dress up your home instead!
