If you happen to be in Chicago you won’t want to miss “The New Look Exhibit†honoring legendary designer Christian Dior at the Chicago History Museum. I love when museums feature designer collections- about two years ago I went to see the Chanel exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and saw Coco’s early designs and her first dress. If you are able to see the Dior exhibit I’m extremely jealous but enjoy it. I hope they bring the collection on tour after it ends this May.
The collection features Dior’s designs tracing back to the 40’s. It also features undergarments used back in the day to create that hour glass silhouette Dior made popular in the day (see the new look cocktail dress featured above).  Now this is my kind of museum exhibit!
