You may have thought that slip dresses were strictly for under dresses and nightgowns, but the slip dress is taking the fashion world by storm and being worn as a regularly casual dress. This style gives off major 90s vibes and we’re all here for it.
All the hottest fashion icons have been seen in them and stores near you are beginning to sell them. Slip dresses are mainly made of silk and they’re easy to squeeze into your late summer wardrobe because they can be worn elegantly or casually. They’re easy to pair with jackets, sweaters, accessories, and any type of shoe. Here are some examples of our favorite it girls rocking the slip dress.
Rita Ora stepped out in a shiny silky slip dress with a pair of boots in New York City. The dress slightly resembles a nightgown, but I think the look is casual and cute.
Sienna Miller chose to wear an orangey-gold silk slip dress formally and the dress totally makes her glow! The dress is designed by her sister, Savannah Miller. I love how simple yet elegant this look is.

Bubbling champagne is what comes to mind when I look at this dress, I adore the color! Revolve lists it as gold, but personally I think it looks more champagne. The black strappy heels complete the look, as well as the small purse. This piece could be found at Revolve.

This Larkin Hughes slip dress does a great job blending sexy femininity with some edginess. We think the execution is just brilliant.
