The latest in a long string of celebrity designers is Lauren Conrad, who designed a line called LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s. Her spring 2010 collection is actually the second season she’s designed for the store (she debuted her line in the fall of 2009). The collection includes tops, bottoms, and dresses – about 40 pieces in all, many of them modeled by the designer herself. Overall, it’s not bad. There are a lot of floral prints and sequins, and breezy tops and dresses. I’m not a big fan of the jumpsuit or the romper (but, full disclosure ahead: I don’t like jumpsuits or rompers in general. Why would anyone choose to look like a mechanic, no matter what the label says?) There’s a great black and white top with an off-center flower print that looks like it would be perfect with skinny jeans (see it here), and how fun is this ruffled skirt? On sale for $29.99, it’s an affordable way to try a trend that might not be around in a few seasons. In fact, all of her designs are affordably priced, which is one of the best parts about it (Unlike her other line of way overpriced leggings and let’s be honest, pretty bland offerings for boutique retailers). You can see the full collection here (warning: music will play automatically!)
