We all know we fangirled over Emily Fields and the bffs in Pretty Little Liars… That’s how we came to love Canadian princess Shay Mitchell. We’ve also seen her on Degrassi and as the face of Pantene shampoo line. She also has killer style and amazes us with her vacation ‘fits on the regular! Check out some of her best every day looks and where to find similar pieces for a fraction of the price.
Wrap tops:
Shay loves a good wrap top. Her signature look includes balancing the amount of skin being shown with the top by pairing it with higher waisted bottoms. The top can be dressed up or down for a casual look. A wrap top is a very popular trend this season and can be found really anywhere, my favorites are sold at Nordstrom, TopShop and PrettyLittleThing.
Matching sets:
A matching set is such an easy and fun outfit! Shay tends to wear them mostly when on vacation (according to her Instagram). The three different sets below all have a similar flowy cut at the bottom; it appears she prefers a skirt set than a short or pant set. These can be found at boohoo, Lulus and Revolve.
Black on black:
There are just some times when an LBD is not acceptable, and Shay knows just how to wear the flattering color on any occasion. In the pictures below she is seen using a gold belt as a pop of color on a black jumpsuit, playing with texture when pairing a ruched top with pants, and using a blazer and sunnies to accessorize a one color look. This is perhaps one of the easiest trends to mock because black is a popular color most people already own. A few places to score some amazing black pieces are Topshop and Aritzia.
Denim:
Denim is one of those trends that will always make its way back home. Shay is seen wearing a lot of denim jackets, but also loves a good jean for an everyday look. In one outfit, she takes a modern twist with denim by wearing a fitted denim dress. Similar pieces can be found at Madewell, Gap and Levi.
Statement jacket:
This trend is tricky because a jacket cannot be worn in all places due to weather and depending on the season. If it’s colder outside or you live in a normally chilly area, this is right up your alley. A statement jacket is an easy way to insert a pop of color or personality to an outfit and can be removed whenever- it is a great layering piece. Shay is not afraid to be bold with a jacket!
