The Met was only a week ago, and now we have the Cannes Film Festival to fawn over! How did we get so lucky with back to back red carpet events? This year marks the 71st film festival and the event takes place in Cannes, France. Numerous celebrities attend the cinematic event every year and are always seen in the most jaw dropping gowns and attire. We understand that it’s all about the films during this festival, but for us fashion junkies, we draw our attention to who wore what. All the attendees looked amazing while they graced the red carpet this year, but there’s a few who caught our eye.
Amber Heard looked like a freshly bloomed garden in her Valentino gown. The vibrant shades of red, soft pink, and bursts of yellow and black contrasted perfectly against each other. The dangly earrings stand out with her hair tucked up so neatly.
Josephine Skriver’s pale blue Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown was my favorite. The skirt in the front escalates into a train, giving it graceful appeal. Josephine looks like an angel who fell from the sky, or perhaps, the Victoria’s Secret catalogue.
Kristen rocked a pale blue pantsuit at Cannes this year made by Chanel. The suit is a Chanel Resort 2019 design that was just presented in their fashion show last week. Her heels are from Aquazzura! Kristen can spot a trend from miles away.
Moments ago I said Josephine’s dress was my favorite, but I’m changing my mind. The models have seemed to dominate the red carpet at Cannes, especially Elsa Hosk. Her pink silk Alberta Ferretti gown is dramatic, yet classy. The bow ties in the front are adorable.
What’s a red carpet without some sequins? Toni Garn dazzles in the limelight while wearing thing sparkly Roberto Cavalli dress. Her sleek hairstyle compliments the gown!
This custom designed gown by Poiret for Naomi Campbell is only one that she could pull off. The asymmetrical design turned heads. One side is covered with black satin, and the other is lightly covered with beaded threading.
