On a recent trip to England (don’t worry, I will have a full-blown fashion recap on the blog soon) I was not only impressed by what they call their “high street” but I fell head over heels in love with their pharmacy store, Boots.
I know, you hear “pharmacy store” and you think bad lighting, generic makeup lines and an overall negative experience a la U.S. pharmacy stores. Well, England’s got it right. Boots looks more like a department store and in addition to carrying a line of its own beauty, skin and makeup products that are actually really well made and affordable, they carry lines ranging from Rimmel London to Benefit and too Faced. And, the set up is much more like the makeup counters at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales.
So, needless to say, I was in Boots every chance I got, much to the chagrin of boyfriend.
Luckily, Target has begun carrying some of Boots’ products so us U.S. gals can get some locally. Here are a few of my favorites that Target now carries.
I became OBSESSED with Boots’ makeup wipes. They aren’t stringent and really do a great job clearing makeup and mascara gently. I loved them so much so that I bought six packs to bring home with me. Now, I can just pick them up at Target, and so can you! here
Boots No7 Photo Fix Wrinkle Filler and Primer is a really affordable way to hide the signs of aging. Each tube is just $19.99 at Target
I’ve been using Boots’ face wash every day since I’ve gotten back. It’s super gentle and creamy and great for all skin types. And, just $8.39!
