When we first got engaged, I made a list on my phone of all of the self improvement items I needed before we walk down the aisle. It looked a little something like this: Lose ten pounds; Go for monthly facials; Laser hair removal everywhere, you get the point. One of the biggest items on the list was to whiten my teeth. You are photographed more on your wedding day than at any other time in your life, so this was an investment I didn’t think twice about making.
After years of drinking coffee and red wine, by teeth color was not at a shade I loved. My goal was to noticeably whiten my teeth before the wedding so that they would really sparkle on the big day, and then keep up with regular maintenance following the honeymoon.
For this, I did tons of research. I wanted an easy-to-use but very effective teeth whitener that I could use in the comfort of my own home while tackling the neverending wedding planning tasks. That’s what led me to Glo Science Teeth Whitening.
For around $200, you can buy an entire at-home teeth whitening kit from Glo which includes an LED-laced mouthpiece, a charger, carrying case and 40 teeth whitening sessions. You can then buy refills of the gel so that you can use the kit indefinitely.
Earlier this week, I sat down for my first session while binge-watching “Russian Doll” on Netflix with my fiance. After charging up the battery, I plugged the mouthpiece into it and applied the whitening gel to each of my front teeth. I then put the tray in my mouth and pressed the on button, causing the tray to light up to a neon blue. The tray is on an 8-minute self timer. Once it goes off, you repeat that step three more times for a total of four times or 32 minutes, and then you’re good to go. You’re supposed to repeat that every day for five days to get optimal results.
I couldn’t believe it, but after the first two treatments, I noticed a big difference in the color of my teeth. By the fourth one in just one day, all of my teeth were down nearly a shade, which is pretty remarkable. The process didn’t hurt at all and I loved being able to work on my wedding planning while i did it since I am the consummate multi-tasker.
On day two, I did the four treatments while: making and packing my lunch and y fiance’s lunch, blow drying my hair and contouring my face. Multitasking for the win. At the end of the four treatments, there was a little difference from the day before.
By the end of the five days, I saw a tremendous difference. Overall, I am super pleased with the results of my Glo Science kit. I plan on keeping it up from now until the wedding and ordering replacement cartridges for after. We highly recommend the kit to our readers!
