Going Organic With Kosas Lipsticks

FullSizeRender
We’ve gone organic in other areas of our life (stay tuned for a separate post on our favorite organic personal care items), and our makeup should be no different. Think about it: we coat our faces with makeup and even ingest some of it when we put it on our lips. I recently came across Kosas lipsticks, and it’s a guilt-free way to stay pretty without the worries about what chemicals may be entering your body as you beautify.

Kosas is handmade in Los Angeles and their deeply-pigmented lipsticks are free of preservatives and synthetic fragrances. We love that each tube of lipstick is free of parabens, phthalates and other chemicals that we’ve been weeding out of our lives.

I was lucky enough to try four of their lipsticks and I was super impressed by how smoothly they applied and how long wearing they are. The colors are really saturated, which is an added benefit since I expected that some of the trade off of not using common cosmetics chemicals might have resulted in a lackluster hue. But, those fears were quickly debunked. I wore color Electra in meetings all day today and the compliments kept rolling in.

Kosas sells for $24 each. They can be found here
