Newly pregnant Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is expecting her first child due in spring 2019. The exciting news was announced in October and all eyes are on Markle. To no one’s surprise, Markle pulls off her maternity looks with ease and has adopted a new approach to maternity dressing that’s similar to her polished personality. Markle has been experimenting with both classic dress designs and menswear-inspired ensembles. Check out our favorites below.
Meghan’s Best Maternity Looks:
Markle wore a denim dress by Carolina Herrera ($2,190) to a charity polo match and paired it with her Aquazurra pumps and a woven clutch by J.Crew. We like to see the duchess keeping it very casual and chic by mixing high and low street designers. Here’s a similar one.
The Duchess of Sussex’s baby bump was in perfect bloom in December when she visited the Brinsworth House in Twickenham, West London. The mom-to-be wore a form-fitting floral dress by Brock Collection ($1,480) paired with a grey coat from Soia and Kyo. Markle accessorized delicate tear drop shaped Birk earrings and wore a nude clutch and heels.
Markle spiced up her outfit by wearing bright and bold colors in January. She paired her fire-red Sentaler coat with a purple long sleeve Aritzia maxi dress (that’s now sold out). She walked around Liverpool wearing red suede pumps from Staurt Weitzman. We’ve chronicled Meghan’s love of Canadian-brand Aritzia here: Meghan Markle Loves Canadian Brand Aritiza
In November, Meghan looked stunning in her festive Club Monaco collared dress in West London. Keeping her pregnant belly warm, Markle wore a matching maroon coat by the same label. She looked amazing all the way down to her Givenchy booties. Both Club Monaco pieces are now on sale!
The Duchess of Sussex arrived at Westminster Abbey to mark the centenary of the Armistice wearing a gorgeous navy two-piece skirt paired with a beautiful bardot neckline waist belt and peplum accent.
Meghan surprised fans at The Fashion Awards 2018 in London to present the British Women’s Wear Designer of The Year Award. Cradling her baby bump, the duchess wore a stunning asymmetrical Givenchy gown with three golden bangles to accessorize. She styled her hair sleeked in a bun.
Now, not all outfits can be wins. We’ll be mostly nice on this post, but we must include one of Meghan’s worst maternity looks. The Duchess of Sussex attended the Royal Variety Performance in London that raises money for the Royal Variety Charity. Markle wore a black skirt and white floral top with a thin halter strap by Safiyaa design. Paired with her Birks Snowflake Snowstorm diamond earrings. We hated the fit and matronly style.
