The greatest bras are the ones you forget that you’re wearing. While in quarantine, one of the first thing most women ditched were their uncomfortable underwire bras, and we can’t say we blame them. Traditional underwire bras can be restricting and seem unnecessary for days of Zoom calls, while alternative bras are comfortable, with all-day wearability. We have put together some of our favorite comfortable alternatives to traditional bras that still provide incredible support and can be acceptable in public when we are all back released into the wild.
Many women are accustomed to supportive bras being uncomfortable, but True&Co is dedicated to proving that supportive bras can be comfortable. The True Body Lift Scoop Neck Bra (on sale for $35) fits women with A cups all the way up to DDD. It can lift your chest up to an inch, while also being comfortable enough for all day wear. Our editor-in-chief has only worn True& Co bras and sports bras since quarantine started in March in NYC and she says she is obsessed with True&Co because it feels like a barely-there bra in term of comfort, but is super supportive for her DD boobs and doesn’t make them look saggy.

Aerie is consistent in providing comfort in their undergarments. In fact, almost all the bras they sell are lightly lined and wireless, always putting comfort first. Comfort meets support in the Real Me Wireless Lightly Lined bra ($44.95). The bras are available in A-DDD and provide wider and reinforced straps for larger cup sizes for extra support. Plus, it is so soft you will forget you’re even wearing it. These bras can be converted into halter style, racerback style, or classic style making it a go-to for any look. A bra like this is why women will never need a traditional style underwire bra again!
