A few weeks ago I was visiting friends in Los Angeles and we decided to drive to Malibu for the day. After lunch by the beach we stumbled upon The Malibu Cafe, and words cannot do this place justice. Get the word “cafe” out of your mind, because this place is more like a playground for adults. In one phrase, if Alice in Wonderland took place on a ranch, this would be it.
Set outdoors on several acres of land, The Malibu Cafe is like a wonderland. It has a rustic feel — think adirondack chairs, large trees with chandeliers hanging from them, twinkle lights and wooden bars. Now add wonderful cocktails and food & games, and you have yourself the backdrop.
We went to The Malibu Cafe for what was supposed to be a “quick cocktail” and cut to hours and hours later, we left slightly buzzed and full after a wonderful day taking the place in. The food was amazing as were the drinks, and there is something for everyone. Giant Jenga pieces, paddle boats, a pool table, corn hole.
Added bonus: this is the most Intagrammable place ever.
